When we reviewed HotOption, we saw that they are using a custom trading platform for binary options. This is a very simple to use platform and currently only has about a dozen currency pairs available to trade.

This platform has Turbo options, meaning that the expiry times for the these trades are at either 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 minutes. We see that Profits for successful trades can be up to 90% depending on the asset. Additional, trades can be made for as low as $1.

License and Regulation

If you want to know if a broker is a scam or not, look to see if they have a license. Binary Options trading is a financial service, therefore, most governments require that a broker have a license from their financial regulator. Some examples of regulators are CySEC of Cyprus, MAS of Singapore and ASIC of Australia.

As of this writing, HotOption does not have a license.
